Some men search for pirate’s jewels in both sand in sea but we know where the real treasure lay – vintage Mexico! We are pleased to bring you this exquisite Miguel Melendez (of Los Castillo fame) bracelet from 1950’s – 60’s Taxco, Mexico, featuring inlaid turquoise in variegated green shades with a stylized parrot head in the middle of each tile. This motif is repeated on six different tiles, culminating in a clasp with a safety chain.  The bracelet is made of  950 to 980 silver, more precious than 925 and certainly heavier (54 grams) not to mention more desirable (even though we just did).  Measures 7 1/8” in length and is 5/8” in width. It’s condition is excellent – no dings, dents or missing stones – although I do see a slight scratch here & there as to be expected.  Marked “Sterling” along with the Melendez “M” logo, “Taxco” as well as the Mexican Eagle assay stamp (found on the back of the tongue clasp).  A beautiful bracelet certain to be exponentially more pleasing in person than in the pictures. Right now it is pleasing an Arnart Cockatoo figurine, available at: www.antiquebeak.com.
