Made of 835 silver and sporting a flock of five birds, this Victorian pin from Germany is not only unusual in its age and design, it’s also uncommon in its angle. While most pins are content to display themselves horizontally this pin is not and instead prefers to be viewed vertically. How’s that for a change? It is elegantly appointed with scalloping on the edges and frolicking within (most be something in those berries). “835” is stamped on the back and the pin is secured via a simple bullet type clasp. Measures 2.75” in length and .5” wide. It is in good condition save for some bending to the pin bar and as with many Victorian pins, the pin requires clothing of a certain thickness to keep it shut (our clothing is much more lightweight than our ancestors).
