A 1950’s bar pin from Europe with a Rosella (I think) fronting the, ah, front, done in enameled splendor with a gold tone wash. The pin is VERY detailed in hues of green, yellow, red and white and measures 2” in length and 1 5/8” in height. There is a little enamel missing in the middle of the tail (see pic) the end of the tail was intentionally left bare (for feather finery, no doubt). The back clasp is unusually reminiscent of a safety pin and very secure. The pin shows its age via some green tarnishing on the back and a slight bow to the bar – seen only when viewed from the side and REALLY looking for it. Unmarked but perhaps brass or bronze. A detailed Parrot with a Deco demeanor, how can you go wrong?
