You’ll Quail with excitement once you unwrap this pin for not only is it a gorgeous piece – it’s a friendly one, too! It’s also well made and interesting with rhinestones adorning the Quail’s wings, tail and crest (and lest we forget, a green stone gleaming from his eye) and texturizing throughout his goldtoned bod. And it’s not flat like some of those other boring bird pins, oh no, THIS guy is a 3-D dude who puts his best foot forward (or feet as the case may be). He measures 1 3/8” from wing tip to wing tip and is 1.5” from crest to tail. A sliding “C” clasp on the back keeps him close and although he’s marked, the squiggle defies description so you’ll just have to look at the pic. He is missing a tiny, tiny stone at the edge of one feather that is apparent on the pics (‘cause they’re magnified) but not in person. He’s in grand condition otherwise and quite heavy for his size. In case you’re wondering that’s a Victorian pitcher he’s pictured with, available at www.antiquebeak.com.
