Well made (as are most things German) this vintage Heron pin has to be seen to be appreciated. At first glance it appears to be a solitary Heron or Crane out for a stroll, but a closer look reveals it’s also a striking piece of design and craftsmanship with gleaming stones amid its intricate feathers and a facial mien that’s simple yet expressive. It is made of silver toned metal that appears to be silver but isn’t (had me fooled until I tested it) and is pressed outward from the back giving the bird even more elegance. Measures 1 7/8” in length and 7/8” in width. It’s unmarked and in good condition with a (soldered on) roll clasp on the back. One stone on the wing edge is a little less brilliant than the rest but this won’t make you love it any less, we promise!
