Fiercely guarding his territory (aka your shoulder) is this formidable looking Kingfisher from turn of the century England. Hand painted and crafted of celluloid plastic, he boasts a beak that’s unmistakable with an attitude to match and a bit of a squint in his eye to let you know he means business. Measures 2 1/8” from beak to butt and is 1.5” tall. Marked “Foreign” on metal clasp, a term that was used between 1893-1923. He’s in excellent condition, I’m guessing he was stored and never used as the paint is all there. Definitely different, when was the last time YOU saw a Kingfisher sit still? Speaking of, he is doing so now with a pair of suede parrot gloves, available at www.antiquebeak.com.
