Silver Plate Bird in Flight Pin with Semi-Precious Stones
A symphony in silver plate this art deco flying bird pin has a geometric shape and a personality that positively sparkles. Splayed across the top of his wings are four prong set semi-precious stones in amber, blue, mint green and clear that lend to his handsome aspect, and the ridges on his neck proclaim him to be either Pheasant or Bird of Paradise, I know not which. The pin measures 2 3/8 inches in length and is 1.5 inches in width. It is unmarked but quality made as evidenced by the stones’ setting and artistic endeavor. Lightweight and lovely, would look perfectly jaunty on a hat.
