A vintage, tribal hair barrette all the way from Turkey, done in the shape of a stylized bird and made of alpaca silver. Alpaca is sometimes referred to as nickel silver or German silver and even though it's called silver, IT ISN'T. It's a combination of metals, none of them silver, so your guess is as good as mine as to why they call it that. But I digress, back to the barrette....... it measures 2 3/8" in length and 1" in width at the head. It is made enirely of metal, including the clip at the back and has a hand painted design that seems almost stamped into it but isn't (kinda like the silver thing). Unmarked, in good condition, and heavy for its size. Kinda fun, kinda different, kinda YOU!
