A fun ‘n fanciful vintage brooch from England with a bit of a tail, ah, tale to tell, for upon it are perched two Cockatoos in heated debate, while a pair of Canaries decline to comment. The pin is marvelously detailed with a nice weight for its size, which is 2.25” in length and 1” wide, and is pressed from the back giving each of the birds a 3-D effect. It is done in gold tone and features a roll clasp. It is in good condition although I have noted just a touch of pink on the far right bird (not really seen in person due to the shine but shows up more in the photos). It is unmarked. So if you’ve been looking for a Cockatoo pin with personality plus (the plus being Canaries) then DO give this one consideration. You’ll be glad you did. J
