Talk about your bird in hand! It’s time to step out with a bit-o Birdie bling in the form a vintage handbag, adorned in textured gold and sporting a Bird of Paradise on the side. Made of gold toned metal and boasting brilliant enamels and sparkling stones, the bird is permanently affixed to the bag. The purse is made of gold material and metal with a short, doubled up hand strap at the top and a metal clasp that is reminiscent of a clam shell or bells. The inside is lined in black with a small center pocket. Definitely one for posh affairs and state dinners, the pocketbook is smallish, measuring 8 1/8” long, 2 1/8” wide and just over 4” tall (8.25” if you include the extended strap). It is in good vintage condition with a little aging to the metal and a couple of small scratches in the gold material that aren’t noticeable due to the texturing. Quite flashy ‘n different, everyone will ask where you got it (be sure to tell ‘em, will ya?) The purse is modeled with a vintage Parrot scarf soon to be available at Beak Chic.
