So what’s all the HOOP-la about? Why this pair of vintage sterling silver earrings, of course! Ah the 80’s: shoulder pads, big hair, Flash Dance and flashy birds! You can relive the past (and without those horrid shoulder pads) by perching these Peacocks on your ears, each done in a golden hued metal and roosting atop a black glass stone. Now here is a pair of vintage earrings to hoop and holler about! Made of sterling silver and sporting an engraved Quetzal in their center, each is comprised of two hoops with the inside hoop suspended from rings for movement.  Although there is a mark on one it is unreadable (to me at least)  but they  tested for 900 silver or higher and were likely hand made in South America. Ah, the quixotic Quetzal, the national bird of Guatemala (and also the name of their currency….) Simple, silver toned and splendid these vintage earrings from Laurel Burch are the cat’s meow (or correctly the Parakeet’s peep!) Measuring 1.75” in length and .5” in width they were made to be seen but not hurt, given their flat back and lightweight construction. When it comes to Cardinals we are Red-y!
